Overhaul of the premises of the Surgical Building No. 2

As RBC-Ukraine has already reported with reference to the Minister of Health of Ukraine: “The enemy damaged more than 616 medical institutions, of which 101 were completely destroyed. Plus, 375 pharmacy institutions were destroyed and do not work. Therefore, now, according to preliminary calculations, 32 billion hryvnias are needed to restore these hospitals” – said Viktor Lyashko.

Tasks of the program “Overhaul of the premises of the surgical building No. 2”:

Part 1. “Major overhaul of the premises of the 7th floor of the Surgical Building No. 2 for the operating block of the municipal non-profit enterprise of the Kyiv Regional Council “Kyiv Regional Clinical Hospital”.

Location of the object: Ukraine, 04107, Kyiv, st. Baggovutovskaya, 1.

STAGES:

• design work (creating design and estimate documentation);
• construction works (overhaul);
• purchase of medical equipment and materials.

At the moment, there is a need to combine all specialized operating rooms into a common operating block on the 7th floor and create a common “clean” zone of the operating block, bring the logistics of moving medical personnel and patients in the operating block to meet modern sanitary and medical requirements, provide the operating block with a single general medical system air conditioning and gas supply. Carrying out major repairs of part of the premises of the 7th floor of the Surgical Building No. 2 for the operating block of the KNP KOR “Kyiv Regional Clinical Hospital” and the purchase of new medical equipment for the operating block will allow:

– to expand the possibilities of providing medical and surgical care in the center;

– create modern conditions for conducting surgical interventions using the technology of “clean” rooms;

– to equip the operating unit with modern new medical equipment;

– increase the number of operations to help the population of Kyiv region and Ukraine as a whole.

Part 2. “Major overhaul of the premises of the 6th floor of the Surgical building No. 2 for the intensive care unit of the general profile of the municipal non-profit enterprise of the Kyiv Regional Council “Kyiv Regional Clinical Hospital”.

Location of the object: Ukraine, 04107, Kyiv, st. Baggovutovskaya, 1.

Stages:

• design work (creation of design and estimate documentation);
• construction works (overhaul);
• purchase of medical equipment and materials.

3. Procurement of medical equipment and supplies. To date, the material and technical base of the general intensive care unit on the 6th floor of the Surgical Building No. 2 is morally and technically outdated and does not allow providing modern resuscitation care to the population of the Kyiv region. The intensive care rooms and others within the general intensive care unit require a major overhaul in decoration and internal engineering networks. Also, the premises of the department do not meet modern requirements for ventilation, air conditioning and supply of medical gases. The medical equipment in these rooms is outdated, worn out and requires constant repair and restoration.

The overhaul of the premises of the 6th floor of the Surgical Building No. 2 of the KNP KOR “Kyiv Regional Clinical Hospital” for a general intensive care unit and the purchase of new medical equipment will also provide:

• emergency and resuscitation care in terminal conditions;
• anesthetic care during surgical interventions of various types of complexity and patient monitoring in the early postoperative period;
• life support of patients with genetic and metabolic pathologies;
• acute hemodialysis, ultrafiltration and plasmapheresis for exogenous and endogenous poisoning, organ failure;
• help with burns, combined trauma, including with the involvement of the nervous system;
• helping mentally ill patients in need of intensive care.
